The Tanzanian side finished fourth after falling to Bayelsa Queens in the third-place playoff

Simba Queens forward and captain Opa Clement Tukumbuke has been included in the CAF Women's Champions League team of the season from the recently-concluded tournament.

The Tanzanian scored two of Simba's four goals in the tournament, finding the net against Liberia's Determine Girls and Zambia's Green Buffaloes in the group stages.

Her explosive nature earned her a place in a three-woman forward in the best 11, being partnered alongside Lelona Daweti of Mamelodi Sundowns, who enjoyed a fine campaign to finish second of the scoring chart with four goals, and tournament topscorer Ibtissam Jraidi of ASFAR with six goals taking her rightful place upfront.

The list of the best 11 was put together by members of CAF’s Technical Study Group (TSG) based on the performance of the players throughout the tournament, with winners AS FAR dominating.

ASFAR shot-stopper Khadija Er-rmichi handed a place between the sticks after keeping four clean sheets in the five matches that the team played including the final. She conceded only once against Green Buffaloes in the group stage.

In a four-woman defensive backline, Mamelodi Sundowns' Bambanani Mbane teams up with Aziza Rabbah of ASFAR to forge an excellent center-back partnership with Rabbah's teammate Ghizlane Chhiri deploying on left-back and Bayelsa Queens Glory Edet taking the right-back spot.

In the middle of the park, ASFAR's Siham Boukhami partners Boitumelo Rabale, who was a proven alternative goal threat for Mamelodi Sundowns, and teammate Fatima Tagnaout who was influential in the Moroccans' title triumph to earn the Best Player of the Tournament award in the process.
