Chelsea agrees on a deal with Brighton's Joao Pedro, only a couple of hours after they inked Jamie Bynoe-Gittens
Money is obviously not an issue - Chelsea has got it, like a lot!
Only a few hours after the Blues announced the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, the Stamford Bridge club has shared another news. Again, a reinforcement, again a striker.
They have reached an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign their attacker Joao Pedro.
The 23-year-old Brazilian was wanted by Newcastle United, too, but he only wanted to join the west London side.
The deal of around £50million has been struck, while personal terms are in place on a contract until 2032.
Joao Pedro will complete a medical in the United States, and then he'll join Chelsea's squad at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Brazilian missed Brighton's last two games of the season after a training ground altercation with teammate Jan Paul van Hecke. The Seagulls boss Fabian Hurzeler said the altercation was dealt with internally and he considered the matter "closed".
Joao Pedro has three caps for Brazil since making his international debut in November 2024.
