A multiple trophy winner with the Paris club and a World Cup champion with France has been accused, along with his wife, of serious crimes

Paris Saint-Germain and France defender Lucas Hernandez is facing serious legal allegations after a complaint was lodged against him and his wife, Victoria Triay, at a court in Versailles. The case, brought by a Colombian family who previously worked for the couple, has prompted the opening of a formal investigation.

According to reports in Paris Match, the family — two parents and their three children — were employed by Hernandez between September 2024 and November 2025. The complaint alleges they carried out a range of duties, including domestic work, childcare, cooking, cleaning and security, without holding valid work permits or formal employment contracts.

It is further claimed that the family were not registered within France’s social security system and were paid exclusively in cash. The filing also alleges excessive working conditions, with schedules said to reach between 72 and 84 hours per week and no regular days off. Additional accusations include the use of fabricated Spanish identities and the signing of non-disclosure agreements in February 2025.

Hernandez and Triay have strongly rejected the accusations. In a statement quoted by Reuters, they said they had welcomed the family into their home after being led to believe they were close friends who were in the process of legalising their status in France.

“We opened our home and our lives to people we cared about and treated with respect and dignity,” the statement read. “We supported them and trusted what we were told. That trust was ultimately abused.”

The couple added that they believed they had acted in good faith, saying they were emotionally manipulated and had learned “the hard way that compassion can be taken advantage of.”

Hernandez, who came through Atletico Madrid’s academy alongside his brother Theo, joined Bayern Munich in 2019 for around 80 million euros. During four seasons in Germany, he collected multiple honours including the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League before moving to PSG in 2023.

He has since added further silverware in Paris and remains a key figure for the French national team, with 40 caps to his name. Hernandez was part of France’s World Cup-winning squad in 2018 and the team that finished runners-up in Qatar in 2022.
