She is the fourth Kenyan in the ranks of Simba Queens this season after midfielder Vivian Corazone Aquino, striker Topister Situma, and custodian Carolyn Rufa.
Harambee Starlets forward Jentrix Shikangwa is training her eyes on the goldenboot in the Tanzanian Women's league following her move to Simba Queens last week.
The Kenyan international penned a two-year deal with the Tanzanian giants following an unceremonious end to her engagement with Turkish side Fatih Karagumuk.
In an interview with Citizen Digital, Shikangwa revealed that her target will be to find the back of the net as many times as possible with the end goal being the top scorer at the end of the campaign, adding that she will use the opportunity at Simba as a stepping stone.
“I am a deadly goal poacher and that goes without saying. I want to score as many goals as possible so as to emerge the top scorer when the league ends. I am here in Simba to market myself and I believe the talent which God blessed me with, will take me to the next level,” she said.

Simba Queens are set to feature in their maiden CAF Women Champions League this year after punching the sol;e ticket in the CECAFA region, and the former Vihiga Queens player is eager to make her second appearance at the continental stage having featured in the inaugural event.
“It will be my second time to play in the Caf Women’s Champions League after appearing for the first time in 2021 with Vihiga Queens when the tournament was held in Cairo, and for me I believe it will be a good chance to showcase my talent considering that we will be playing against greatest teams in the continent and the fact that many agents will be present for talents search,” added Shikangwa.
