The recently-promoted side has conceded at the death in both their opening matches
Shabana FC gaffer Sammy Okoth opines that his team needs to work on their concentration towards the end of matches after conceding yet again in stoppage time.
The recently promoted team came from a goal down in stoppage time to pick a point against FC Talanta and record their maiden point on the board.
Kevinton Machika had scored for Talanta at the stroke of the 90th minute but Justine Omwando grabbed the leveller two minutes later.
In the opening round, Shabana conceded at a similar time after Batts Awita won the game for Murang'a Seal in the 90th minute.
Speaking after the game against Talanta at Nyayo Stadium on Friday afternoon, Okoth expressed his delight for the salvaged point but insisted that they have work to do to avoid conceding late goals.
"It was a tough game but both teams gave their all. It was not easy for either side and there were very few chances created. We wanted to get at least a point after losing in the opening match last weekend. We conceded towards the end of the match just like we did in the first match and it means there is work to be done there but I am happy we managed to get a point," he said.
With the FKFPL taking a break to pave way for the FIFA window, Shabana will resume topflight action by hosting Kenya Police on 16 September 2023 at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homabay.
Just like Shabana, the big-spending Police have only one point on the table after being drubbed 3-0 by Posta Rangers on Friday afternoon.
