Shabana FC responded to their Mozzart Bet Cup exit in style, thumping FC Talanta 4-2 in an FKF Premier League clash at Dandora Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Before the game, Talanta had dropped into the playoff spot following Bidco United's 2-0 win over Mathare United and needed a positive result to climb towards safety.
Shabana, however, had other plans, securing a comfortable win with a dominant display from the Glamour Boys.

Things started to unravel in the 23rd minute when a huge mistake by FC Talanta goalkeeper Mustafa Oduor gifted Austin Odongo a goal.
The keeper hesitated with the ball at his feet, allowing Odongo to close him down, win possession, and finish easily.
Ten minutes later, Shabana won a penalty, which top scorer Brian Michira converted to double the visitors' lead. Just before halftime, Cyprian Mangeni pulled one back for Talanta to end a thrilling first half.
A minute past the hour mark, Odongo netted his second and Shabana's third of the afternoon.
Eleven minutes later, Talanta grabbed another goal to spark hopes of a comeback.
However, those hopes were dashed in the 76th minute when Michira struck again to seal the victory.
The result moves Shabana to fourth on the table with 43 points, while Talanta remain on 26 points.
Kariobangi Sharks 0-0 Murang'a Seal
Elsewhere at St. Sebastian Park in Murang’a, hosts Murang’a Seal and Kariobangi Sharks played out a goalless draw in an entertaining contest. Seal sit 17th in the standings, while Sharks occupy 11th place.
