Steve Cooper's team overhauled the team yet again
Nottingham Forest had a very busy Transfer Deadline Dey. They completed seven signings on deadline day. It's never boring at the City Ground!
They brought in Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares on loan with an option to make the deal permanent. They also signed Nicolas Dominguez from Bologna on a five-year contract, with Remo Freuler heading to the Serie A club on a permanent basis. Dominguez, who was the captain at Bologna, has represented Argentina eleven times since making his international debut in September 2019.
"I watched the game Forest played against Sheffield United, I saw the fans in the stadium and it attracted me. I'm over the moon and keen to embrace this challenge."
Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest after leaving Chelsea. The English forward, who has been capped three times by the national team, made 156 appearances for Chelsea before joining Forest. The 22-year-old spent the previous season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen. Nottingham Forest successfully secured his signing ahead of Fulham.
Nottingham continued their active transfer window by signing Greek goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos from Benfica on a four-year contract. Additionally, they secured the services of Ibrahim Sangare from PSV Eindhoven on a five-year deal for a reported fee of $38 million. The Ivory Coast international played a key role in helping PSV advance to the Champions League group stages, and he had previously been linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the transfer window.
Furthermore, more than 90 minutes after the transfer window closed, Forest announced the loan signing of former Liverpool forward Divock Origi from AC Milan. The attacker with Kenyan roots failed to impress with the Rossoneri, so getting back to the Premier League must be the best decision for his career. The Belgium international made 36 appearances last season for the San Siro outfit.

Steve Cooper's side made another late addition to their squad by signing defender Andrew Omobamidele from Norwich City for a reported fee of $14 million. The 21-year-old has inked a five-year contract, securing his presence at the City Ground until at least the summer of 2028. Omobamidele earned his first full international cap for the Republic of Ireland in September 2021 and has gone on to represent his country on six occasions since then.
The seven additions on the final day made Forest's number of recruits to 15 new signings. In addition to the players mentioned above, Forest have brought in Anthony Elanga, Matt Turner, Ola Aina, Andrey Santos, Gonzalo Montiel, Murillo, Chris Wood on a permanent deal, and youngster Manni Norkett from Manchester United. These additions reflect a strong effort by the club to reinforce their team for the upcoming season.
