The in-form winger has only a year and a half until the end of his contract
Leroy Sane is having one of the best seasons of his career. Eight goals and six assists in 11 Bundesliga games so far, along with the fact that the 27-year-old forward has about a year and a half left on his contract with Bayern Munich, will make him one of the most interesting players on the football market in the coming months. The Spanish media are trying to explain their claims that Sane is interesting to Barcelona, with indications that the Catalans are willing to part with the Brazilian attacker Raphinha in the near future and that they will need another quick winger.

On the other hand, Real Madrid saw after Vinicius Junior's injury last week that they needed more depth. The Brazilian forward will be absent for two and a half months, and only now does Real realize that it needs more personnel to maintain consistency. In the next two transfer windows, Bayern will have the last chance to earn something from Sane, as his contract expires in the summer of 2025. The English media shyly mentions the interest of Manchester City, his previous club. Sane himself is quite reserved when talking about his future.
"I haven't thought about the renewal of the contract yet. The club wants to hold talks, but now I want to focus only on the field, since the season is still in the early stages" Sane said vaguely.
Sane, who was born in Essen, arrived at Bayern in the summer of 2020 for compensation of 50,000,000 euros from Manchester City, and for the club from the Allianz Arena, he has played 107 games and scored 29 goals. Thomas Tuchel is very satisfied with the player, who often had experienced usteady form during his time in Munich, but this season, he is a regular in Tuchel’s side. The former Chelsea coach will certainly press his bosses to start the negotiations as soon as possible.
