Rupia on target in Saudi Arabia, Olunga bags Asian Champions League Golden Boot

Olunga becomes the first Kenyan to win the AFC Champions League Golden Boot.
Kenyan international Elvis Rupia finally got off the mark as his Bisha FC fell 2-1 to Al-Shael in Saudi Arabia while Michael Olunga bagged the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Golden Boot despite a group stage exit.

The former AFC Leopards forward opened his goal account in the Saudi Arabian second tier as Bisha FC were beaten 2-1 by Al-Sahel to extend their losing streak.
With the defeat, Bisha have now lost four consecutive games as they sit second from bottom having won only three games out of a possible 12.

The game was seemingly headed to the halftime break level but up stepped Rupia who notched his maiden goal at the stroke of halftime to ensure Bisha went into the break with a lead.
Al-Sahel resumed the second half firing from all cylinders as Uilliam restored parity four minutes after the resumption of the closing half while Jhonnattann secured three points for them in the first minute of stoppage time.
Michael Olunga
Just when you think Michael Olunga is at the top of his game, he scales another peak as this time he managed to secure the AFC Champions League Golden Boot.
Al Duhail suffered elimination at the Group Stages of the competition but Olunga managed to plunder nine goals which were enough to earn him the top scorer’s award.

The former Gor Mahia forward was one goal better than Jeonbuk Hyundai forward Gustavo whose team exited the competition at the quarter-final hurdle.
Olunga also currently leads the Qatar Stars League with 12 goals as he is involved in a heated Golden Boot race with Algeria’s Baghdad Bounedjah and Ghanaian Andre Ayew.

Kenyan forward Jonah Ayunga clocked 90 minutes as his Morecambe side rallied from behind to steal a point in a thrilling 2-2 stalemate against Charlton Athletic.
First half goals from Diallang Jaiyesimi and Conor Washington saw Charlton gain control of the game in the opening 27 minutes of the game.

Morecambe however dug deep to secure a point with Cole Stockton scoring from the spot in the 29th minute while a 72nd-minute striker from Anthony O'Connor saw them collect a point.
