"Our plot is to play in the NSL next season since we have overstayed on Division One and we believe this is the squad to help us achieve our target," he said.

Hot Stars further parted ways with a host of the players that wiggled on the green grass for the club last season among them the team's top scorer Robert Karisa and Joe Abongo to Naivas and Tevin Omutere to Rainbow Kenya among others.

"The signings are exciting to say the least, we have blended young blood with experience and with the caliber of coaches at their disposal, we expect nothing less than promotion," said Kariuki.

The young football administrator further rallied fans to come out in big numbers to cheer up the boys as they get underway their third-tier season on Sunday against Kibera Soccer at Imani Park Grounds, Ruiru.

"To our lovely supporters we ask you to rally behind the boys as they start their promotion journey on Sunday. Be there for us," he concluded.
