Fortune Sacco beat Simba Apparel 4-0
A goal from Brian Maranga in the 49th minute free kick and an own goal from Sunderland Keroche in the 66th minute were all Nakuru Bucks needed to announce their arrival in the third tier with a 2-0 win.
Bucks were promoted following an exemplary performance in FKF Division 2 Central Zone mini league that saw them dispatch Ichuni Combined 6-0 in the final.
The Peter Wekesa-coached side further added lethal arsenals to their squad in a bid to be competitive and the fruits are there to be seen following the god start.
Elsewhere, Fortune Sacco announced return to action after a season in the cold with an emphatic 4-0 victory over debutants Simba Apparel.
Sacco, who have been missing in action for close to a year, found the back of the net through Elias Mugane who struck a brace with, Barasa Elvine and Dennis Kariuki adding the xtras.
Apparel gained promotion to the third tier after bossing the Football Kenya Federation Division 2 Northern Zone playoffs and despite reinforcing the team with a host of talented players, they couldn’t overpower Fortune.
The win places Fortune at the summit of the league on three points thanks to their healthy goal difference.
Muhoroni Young were held to a barren draw by Vegpro at the Muhoroni Stadium.
