Aston Villa's youngster broke two records last night in his team's 4-2 victory over Celtic, but, regarding his rapid development, it's only the beginning

England is - alongside Brazil - one of the few countries where almost everything revolves around football. People play it, watch it, love it, and live it. After all, it wasn't named "the cradle of football" for nothing. And when football is the country's lifestyle, it's no wonder that spectacular talents often appear, astonishing the public.

Back in the day, England had Gary Lineker, Paul Gascoigne, Alan Shearer... At the beginning of the century, there were David Beckham, Michael Owen, and Wayne Rooney, among others, while recently, Jude Bellingham established himself as one of the biggest talents not only in England but in the world. However, last night, another name drew everyone's attention - Morgan Rogers.

In Aston Villa's 4-2 triumph over Celtic, the 22-year-old scored a hat-trick, becoming the second youngest Englishman to achieve it, just behind Rooney, who netted thrice being four years younger. In addition, Rogers became the first player who managed to find the net twice in the opening five minutes.

This was his first "explosion" in the Champions League, though he's been one of the best among Villans in the Premier League, as he noted ten goals and half as many assists in the ongoing campaign.

Interestingly, after leaving his boyhood club, West Bromwich Albion, Rogers joined Man City and although the Cityzens recognized his potential, they did not give him a proper chance.

He spent his first three seasons at Etihad on loans at Lincoln City, Bournemouth, and Blackpool before joining Middlesbrough permanently. After only one season with the popular Boro, Aston Villa brought him for the reported amount of £8 million and got themselves a gem who has just begun to amaze and enchant the football world.
