David Alaba has just recovered from one severe injury, and joined the team in the United States. Alas, her comes the new one...

The unluckiest football player on the planet.

That's how we can describe Real Madrid defender David Alaba, who will be sidelined for another month due to a new injury.

Just when the Austrian international fully recovered from the previous injury, and started individual training - the bad luck returned, too. In May, Alaba underwent a right knee surgery, because of the meniscus damage.

This time, the issue is his left leg.

"Following medical tests performed on our player David Alaba by the Real Madrid Medical services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the soleus muscle of his left leg. Evolution pending," the club statement read.

Journalist Arancha Rodriguez of COPE states that Alaba will be out of action for a month.

The 33-year-old centre-back has had a horrifying 18 months ever since he suffered an ACL injury in December 2023. His recovery was difficult and involved multiple surgeries before he made his comeback earlier this year. Then came the meniscus injury and the surgery, and just when it appeared like Alaba would be close to returning, he suffered another setback.
