
Promoted APS Bomet sign four mystery players ahead of FKF Premier League debut

National Super League champions APS Bomet have acquired four experienced players ahead of their debut in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
Bomet booked a slot in the top flight after reigning supreme in the second tier and will debut at the senior level alongside Fortune Sacco who were second.

The club's head coach Charles Odera lifted the lid on their transfer activities that the management has worked hard to ensure that they do not go past the earshot.
Odera revealed that he had acquired four new players who habour years of top flight experience in a bid to strengthen the paramilitary side. He however declined to disclose their identities as the deals had not been finalized.
The former Kisumu Hotstars gaffer said he had brought a new goalkeeper, a defender and two offensive players and will sign two young players as part of the club's policy to promote budding footballers.
"As promised before, I have not made wholesome changes in the team. I have signed four players whom I believe will add the experience needed to navigate at the top level. They have been training with us for some days and it is just a matter of time before the deals are sealed. We will also bring in two young players whom we will be grooming for the future, " he said.
Odera who will be making a comeback to the top flight after a couple of years in the second tier in the meantime tipped the club to finish in the top half of the log.
The former defender who last manned the touchline in the KPL in the 2019-2020 season with Chemelil Sugar said he was satisfied that the quality in his team is good enough to place the team among the best ten.
"We want to be competitive rather than fighting to survive relegation. We have recruited well and understand the task ahead of us. The top flight is all about being tactically smart rather than being physical, a requirement for one to succeed in the NSL," he said.
