The fixture had initially been scheduled for last weekend but was postponed due to Bandari’s involvement in the Mozzart Bet Cup semi-finals, where the Dockers suffered a heartbreaking exit on post-match penalties.

Bernard Mwalala’s men will now shift focus back to the league as they look to end a frustrating winless run.

Bandari have endured a difficult spell in recent weeks despite remaining one of the toughest sides to beat this season. The Dockers, who have registered 17 draws in the league campaign, have not tasted victory in the league since Saturday, 28 March, and will be desperate to end that run on home soil.

However, they face an APS Bomet side currently enjoying one of their best runs of the season under head coach Sammy 'Pamzo' Omolo. The Law Enforcers are unbeaten in their last eight league matches and head into the encounter on a five-match winning streak.

While Bandari have struggled away from home this season with only two wins on the road, their home form remains among the strongest in the league, ranking fourth overall.

APS, though, have also impressed away from home, collecting more points on their travels than at home this season, with 22 points picked away compared to 15 on their own turf.

The Bomet-based side heads into the match with extra motivation after the club reportedly rewarded players and members of the technical bench with a Ksh50,000 bonus for each of their last two victories.

Club patron Kipchumba Murkomen has also promised similar rewards for victories in the remaining league matches, further raising the stakes ahead of the Kwale showdown.

Despite their remarkable rise away from the relegation zone, Omolo insists the fight for survival is far from over.

“We have three games left against Bandari, AFC Leopards and Tusker FC. We aren't safe yet, and I have told the boys that the job is only half-done.

We know there’s still work to do to secure safety, so I’m challenging the boys to keep working hard. There is still a lot of football to play, and anything can happen,” said Omolo.

APS Bomet won the first-leg meeting between the two sides 1-0 and will be aiming to complete a league double over the Dockers.
