The fixture is among five that were postponed two weeks ago. Another affected match, Gor Mahia against APS Bomet, has been moved again due to several K'Ogalo players being on national team duty with Harambee Stars in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

For Leopards, this is a defining game. The team has drawn both of its opening matches against Sofapaka and Posta Rangers, and the pressure on Ambani and his technical bench is growing.

Some frustrated supporters have already sent warnings, demanding victories in the next two fixtures against Bandari and KCB FC, failure to which they will demand a resignation from the technical bench.

Bandari arrive in Nairobi under new management after parting ways with Ken Odhiambo and appointing Moroccan coach Mohamed Borji, who will be taking charge of his first official game.

The Dockers have collected four points from three matches after drawing with Kariobangi Sharks, losing to Shabana FC, and defeating Murang’a Seal.

The two teams recently met in the ODM@20 Tournament semifinals in Mombasa, where Bandari won in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw in regular time.

Top of the table clash

At the Gusii Stadium, joint league leaders Shabana FC and Posta Rangers face off in one of the day’s biggest fixtures, starting at 2 PM. Both teams have seven points from two wins and a draw, with the Glamour Boys sitting top on goal difference of plus three compared to Posta’s plus one.

The match will reunite Posta coach Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo with his former side. Omollo guided Shabana to safety during the 2023–24 season and managed them briefly at the start of last term.

Several Posta players, including Peter Odhiambo, Elvis Osok, and Shem Odinga, will also face their former club.

In their previous league meetings, Posta have two wins, Shabana have one, and one match ended in a draw.

Shabana will be sweating over the fitness of key forward Brian Michira, who has been forced off in their last two matches against Bandari and Tusker with a groin problem. Michira is the joint league top scorer with three goals, and his absence would be a major setback for the home side.

Other fixtures

In Kakamega, Homeboyz will be looking to bounce back when they host Bidco United at Bukhungu Stadium from 2 PM. Homeboyz lost 2–0 to Nairobi United last weekend after starting the season with a goalless draw against Mara Sugar and a 1–0 win away to Sofapaka.

Bidco United have been impressive so far, winning both their matches against Gor Mahia and Nairobi United.

In Murang’a, Murang’a Seal and Sofapaka FC will meet in a must-win match for both teams, kicking off at 3 PM. Seal have one win and two defeats from three games while Sofapaka have managed just one point so far this season.
