KCB have recovered from a slow start to the season and are now unbeaten in their last six league matches
The FKF Premier League returns with Round 14 on Tuesday, 16 December, featuring two high-stakes encounters at Kasarani Stadium.
The remaining fixtures are scheduled from Wednesday through Thursday as Kenya’s top-flight league builds momentum..
Posta Rangers vs Bandari FC (2 pm)
The week kicks off at the Kasarani Annex, where a rejuvenated Posta Rangers will host a struggling Bandari FC.
The Mailmen have been revitalized under interim coach Charles Omondi, who replaced Sammy Omolo.
Omondi has overseen three matches, securing two wins against Nairobi United and Bidco United and a draw against APS Bomet, putting the team back on an upward trajectory.
Bandari, in contrast, are navigating a turbulent season.
With just two wins so far, they sit just above the relegation zone by a single point.
The Mombasa-based side made another coaching change last week, parting ways with Moroccan Mohamed Borji and handing interim responsibilities to goalkeepers’ coach Razak Siwa.
Siwa guided the team to a 1-1 draw against Gor Mahia on Friday and will be aiming for a positive result against Posta in what could be his final assignment.
Posta Rangers will rely on in-form players such as Brian Chonjo, Jackson Dwang, Caleb Olilo, and Eliud Lokuwam to secure the points.
Bandari, meanwhile, will look to Geoffrey Ojunga, Darius Msagha, and Abdallah Hassan to inspire a much-needed victory.
Given Posta’s recent form and confidence, they are favourites to extend their unbeaten run and potentially move to the top of the league, depending on other results.
KCB FC vs APS Bomet (4 pm)
Later in the day at Kasarani’s main arena, KCB FC will host APS Bomet in a clash that promises intensity as both sides aim to consolidate their positions.
This will mark the first competitive meeting between the two clubs.
KCB have recovered from a slow start to the season and are now unbeaten in their last six league matches, with three wins and three draws.
The Bankers are firmly in contention for the title, trailing league leaders Kenya Police FC by just three points.
APS Bomet are also on an upward trajectory. While winless in their last four matches, the team has shown resilience, recording two wins and two draws, including a stunning 4-1 victory over Gor Mahia at Nyayo Stadium.
The club has climbed from the foot of the table and will be keen to continue its resurgence against KCB.
Both matches at Kasarani are expected to set the tone for the rest of Round 14, providing crucial points as the FKF Premier League season enters its final stretch.
