Bujego joins the reigning WPL champions from FKF Women's Cup champions Kibera Soccer Women on a three-year contract.

He takes over from Harambee Starlets head coach Beldine Odemba, who parted ways with the club a week ago after a largely successful stint.

The unveiling took place on Wednesday, 1 October at the Police Sacco Grounds shortly after Kenya Police’s barren draw with Ulinzi stars in a FKF Premier League match.

“I am happy to join Police Bullets. This is a big team and being here is no mean feat. I will work hard to ensure that I achieve even more success with the club.

I will build on the winning mentality and form of my predecessor to take the team to an even higher level,” said Bujego.

Kenya Police Secretary General Chris Oguso heaped praise on the tactician, noting that he is the right man for the job.

Bujego is a good addition to our team even as we target to go to greater heights. He is a coach that we have followed for a while and have seen his success with Kibera Soccer Women.

He even performed well against us and as is the nature of football, we had to assert our status by signing the best and that is why he is here,” said Oguso.

Oguso who has experienced domestic success with the team since its formation revealed what they expect from the new tactician.

We have won the league twice and we are now aiming to take the team to the next level and that is to win the CECAFA and later qualify to the Champions League and compete with the best and we believe he (Bujego) is the right person for the job,” he stated.

Police will begin their title defense with a clash against WPL newbies Kayole Starlets on Saturday, 4 October.
