The attacking midfielder of African origins signs a contract extension with Crystal Palace
Just two days after it was reported that Chelsea had activated a £35m release clause in his previous contract with Crystal Palace, Michael Olise has signed a new four-year contract with the Eagles.
Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish has confirmed the attacking midfielder - of Algerian and Nigerian origins, among the others - will be staying with the club.
"I'm absolutely delighted to announce Michael Olise has decided to commit his future to Crystal Palace football club and this afternoon signed a new four-year deal with the club. Olise is an Eagle," Parish wrote on Instagram, along with the pic of himself and Olise signing the contract.
The French U21 international, who is currently recovering from an injury, registered 11 assists and scored twice in the EPL last season.
Olise, 21, joined Crystal Palace from Reading on a five-year-deal in 2021 but was in Chelsea's youth system for seven years before leaving aged 14.
