A one of a kind. That's Diego Pablo Simeone, indeed. His extravagant personality has been widely recognized for over a decade, yet he still manages to surprise us from time to time.

He did it again on Saturday night, as his Atletico Madrid celebrated a 1-0 home win against Athletic Bilbao to climb to the La Liga summit, at least for 24 hours.

Barcelona are about to face Real Sociedad on Sunday afternoon with a chance to reclaim the top spot with a victory, but today everyone is talking only about Cholo.

The Argentine tactician is doing incredible things with Los Colchoneros, but his character pushed him under the spotlight this time. Julian Alvarez's winner secured the victory for the Wanda Metrpolitano side, as the visitors couldn't get at least one past Oblak despite some vicious attacking.

The game's dying minutes captured the audience's attention in Spain, with Connor Gallagher executing two harsh challenges in a row to save his team. Interestingly, those moments triggered Cholo Simeone and his assistant Nelson Vivas, who celebrated those tackles ecstatically as if they were goals.

Such a strange and incredible man, built differently, for sure.
