The Turkish club swiftly sorted everything out, though the Nigerian could have found himself in trouble through no fault of his own
Victor Osimhen found himself caught up in tax trouble in Turkey!
He received an official notice from his bank regarding unpaid income tax, along with a formal warning that his account would be temporarily frozen until the debt was settled.
Since the matter wasn't his responsibility, the Nigerian immediately informed his club, Galatasaray, of the situation. Club officials responded swiftly, transferring the necessary funds without delay. The payment cleared all outstanding tax liabilities and successfully prevented a long-term freeze of his bank account.
The incident would have quickly faded from the headlines had it not been for the social media controversy that followed.

“3 aydır maaş alamıyorum. Ben olmasam kimse dünyada Galatasarayı tanımaz. Paramı vermezseniz giderim nankörler” pic.twitter.com/IAvbBDrxTB
The one that attracted the most attention was a video featuring a man who looked remarkably like Osimhen - in fact, his lookalike - who slammed the Turkish giants, claiming that he hadn't been paid for three months and that nobody would have heard of Galatasaray without him, while threatening to leave the club.
It didn't take long for it to emerge that the video had nothing to do with Osimhen or his personal views. Even so, despite the season not having kicked off yet, he simply can't seem to catch a break.
