Marcus Thuram won't renew his contract with Borussia Monchengladbach which is about to expire at the end of the season
World Cup runner-up with France, Marcus Thuram, is one of the most sought-after talents in Europe. The 25-year-old is playing for the Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, but it appears he won't renew his contract which is about to expire by the end of the season.
Gladbach's sporting director Roland Virkus has confirmed that he will not be staying there for the next campaign.
"We have to accept the fact that Marcus Thuram will join a bigger club [next season]."
Several Europe's top clubs have been linked with Thuram, a prolific left winger, including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Inter, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Arsenal.
