The Mailmen are eighth on the log, four points off log leaders Gor Mahia.

Posta Rangers will enjoy an extended break from football as they are set to sit out of this weekend’s fixtures (if the league resumes) with midfielder Bernard Ondiek picking up positives from the league halt.

The Mailmen were scheduled to play Gor Mahia this weekend but the record Kenyan champions will be engaged in continental assignments ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Otôho d'Oyo.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Ondiek noted that they are out to extend their impressive form after going into the international break with a win over Nzoia Sugar.

“We are confident of continuing with our good form, our break has not been long maybe two or three days in between but we have been training. The break has helped us to bond with the new players and know them even better, our relationship off the ball has really improved,” said Ondiek.

Posta made a number of high profile signings after roping in David Cheche Ochieng, Victor Ndinya, Victor Majid, Timothy Otieno and Caleb Olilo.

The former Gor Mahia midfielder added that they have been sharpening their match fitness with a number of friendlies and spoke of the competition for places in the side.

“We have played a number of friendlies which we have won, the coach will use those matches to know how to use the players better. Our coach wants all the players to be on par, things will change in the coming games, I don’t think there will be the same starting lineup because everyone has proved that they are capable of playing,” concluded Ondiek.
