Bandari only lost three games at the Mbaraki Stadium last season
Posta Rangers midfielder Bernard Ondiek is hoping the club can breach the fortified Mbaraki fortress when they take on Bandari FC on Wednesday 20 October.
The Dockers are usually a tough nut to crack while playing in their own backyard having lost only three games at Mbaraki Grounds in the 2020-2021 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL).

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Ondiek acknowledged the tough task at hand but will be angling for three points against a Bandari side that have their 100% record still intact having picked wins against Mathare United and Bidco United.
“Getting three points in Mombasa is never easy, it is however not impossible because we are looking for a win, we cannot come all the way to look for a point,”
“We will however be cautious not to concede because that was our major undoing last season and if we don’t concede we have a high chance of winning the game,” said Ondiek.
The Mailmen are coming off a morale-boosting 4-0 thumping of league newbies Vihiga Bullets having started the season with a defeat to Kariobangi Sharks.
Ondiek billed the clash as a derby, noting that the club is on an upward trajectory following the emphatic win over Bullets.

“Bandari have a strong side their recruitment has been good but the good thing is that they do not know much about us, this is like a derby to us so it’s not an easy game,”
“Our confidence is high going into the game because we have prepared well for the game and won last time out without conceding a goal which shows we are headed in the right direction,” added Ondiek.
