Tore Bobe have signed seven players ahead of the start of the second tier season

Shabana head coach Robert Ojienda is satisfied with the input his seven new arsenals have injected in the team ahead of the start of the National Super League season.

Ojienda was compelled to dig deep in the transfer market in a bid to plug in the massive dents left by a host of his senior players who ditched the club for top flight challenge.

The former football giant lost close to eight players who were lured by other clubs following their seller show in the second tier but the soft spoken tactician is convinced that their replacements are equal to the task.

Ojienda revealed that he had acquired the duo of Victor Juma and Bernard Ochieng from Migori Youth while Peter Ogechi returned from Gusii FC.

Shabana have also signed Bernard Okinyi from Gor Mahia Youth with Victor Kamungu and Lare Frank strengthening the goalkeeping department.

"I am pleased that the new signings are getting used to our culture and have shown a lot of potential going into the new season. We lost more than half a dozen players who were great pillars last season and had to replace them with new ones," he said.

The former Migori Youth boss was further elated with the role the new office has been playing to ensure that the team regains its past glory.

He lauded the management for being closer to the team and showing commitment in addressing the key areas even as he hopes to guide the team to the top flight.

"The new office bearers are on the ground unlike their predecessors who would only be around on match days. I have confidence in the plans they have for the team and I believe they will take the team to the next level," he remarked.

Meanwhile, Ojienda predicted a tough season owing to the return of Zoo FC, Kisumu United and Vihiga United in the league. The trio were relegated from the senior level last season.
