Ochieng will hope to inspire the Ulinzi Stars to their third win when they take on the bankers KCB on Saturday.
Ulinzi Stars striker Enos Ochieng is pleased after grabbing his first goal of the season and looks forward to working on consistency to help the soliders post positive results.
Ochieng had not featured for the military side in the opening two matches against Nzoia Sugar and Gor Mahia due to personal reasons, but found it hard to find the back of the net in three attempts upon his return to the team.
However, the forward has revealed that he is happy to have finally scored his first goal of the season in his fourth attempt just before the international break.
The former Muhoroni Youth talisman was on target in their sublime 1-0 win over the Kariobangi Sharks, which was the club's second win of the season after registering a similar result against Sofapaka FC after three consecutive defeats.
"I had a difficult moment just before the season began, which made me miss the first two matches, but I am thankful for the management, who granted me some time off to get over everything. I am happy to have helped the team register the second win and equally feel relieved after grabbing my first goal of the campaign." The striker said.
The soldiers have been firing blanks upfront, but Ochieng hopes to carry on from the Sharks outing.
"I honestly felt frustrated because we have not been clinical upfront. We have not been scoring, and I feel this, to a certain extent, contributed to the team's poor run. Our defence has been superb, but when you don't make good use of your opportunities and your opponents do, then you are bound to be punished, and I feel this has been affecting us. I hope to keep scoring and assisting as well so that we can get the positive results coming our way." He added.
The lanky forward further admits to pressure but believes that with consistency, the club will be able to achieve the season's targets.
"There is always pressure when you don't get the right results, and we at Ulinzi haven't been exempted. There has been pressure since we have not posted the positive results that the club had hoped for; nonetheless, I am optimistic that if we can work and keep on winning from Sharks exploits, then we will be able to avert the negative tidings."
