Ochieng features as Harper misses in England

Kenyan midfielder Henry Ochieng was a second-half substitute in Billericay Town FC’s barren draw against Ebbsfleet United as Vince Harper missed Eastleigh's 2-1 win over Torquay.

The midfielder came on in the 71st minute as Billericay Town FC settled for a barren draw against Ebbsfleet United in the English National League South. 

Ochieng joined the side at the start of November after staying for months without a club since leaving Watford’s Under 23 side at the end of last season. 

The game however had little to write home about as both teams struggled to create chances leading to little goalmouth action.

The Kenyan defender missed the matchday squad as Eastleigh came from a goal behind to beat Torquay 2-1 in the English National League.

The club revealed that Harper was suspended for the club after picking up five yellow cards this season and was replaced by Michael Kelly in the lineup.

Eastleigh only named five players on their substitute bench and went behind two minutes after the hour mark when Armani Little broke the deadlock for Torquay. 

In the second half, however, Eastleigh showed their mettle as they drew level in the 53rd minute courtesy of a goal from Tom Whelan.

Eastleigh completed the turnaround in the 63rd minute when Tyrone Barnett netted his fourth goal of the season to hand them three massive points that take them closer to the Promotion Playoffs.
