Victor Haki was on the scoresheet on Saturdat as Nzoia edged Ulinzi Stars 2-1 at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma

Nzoia Sugar FC forward Victor Haki was elated after scoring his first goal for the millers in the 2-1 win over Ulinzi Stars at Sudi Stadium on Saturday.

The youthful attacker scored in the 54th minute to level scores for George Odour charges. He gave the sugar men a much-needed cushion at a time they were trailing courtsey of a Benjamin Mosha goal.

Haki was acquired from Football Kenya Federation Division One side Nyota FC in the on going player registration window, and says scoring an FKF Premier League goal and more so on his maiden league start was one his dreams.

"It has been my dream to have a goal in the top flight and when I got a chance to turn out for Nzoia, I knew the dream was closer and what a way to do it on my debut," he told Mozzart Sport.

Haki, who was among the top scorers last season in Division One Zone B on 10 goals, still has the urge to find the back of the net and he wants to get more in remaining matches of the campaign.

"It feels good to be on the score sheet, and hopefully I will bang in more to help my team win matches."

The goal poacher, who can also easily slot in both the left and right flanks, has set himself a target of double digits as he aims at helping the millers replicate 2022-23 season form.

Another new signing Joseph Oyugi scored in the dying embers of the match to secure all three points for Nzoia.

Nzoia next match is a trip to Muhoroni for Muhoroni Youth clash on 13th September.
