They Yatta-based side will settle scores with Mulembe United FC in their third match of the season at Mumias Complex

Returning Mully Children Family FC head coach Robert Arasa Orangi has called on his players to come out and take authority as the club seeks the first maximum points of the season.

Orangi returned to the team at the start of the current campaign following the departure of his successor David Njenga Mahira upon the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.

The experienced gaffer has however struggled since his return to the Yatta based club forcing a 2-2 draw in the opening league encounter with SS Assad before succumbing to a 2-0 defeat at Kajiado FC in their efforts to redeem themselves from match day one heartbreak.

The tactician, who made more than ten additions to the team, has now challenged his troops to show up and arrest the unprecedented run of form.

"I call upon each member of the club to take responsibility and find a way of playing for the badge. MCF is a big club with enough resources that should be competing at the highest level," said the former Kangemi All Stars gaffer.

The soft spoken coach revealed that the team embarked on a double training schedule to adequately prepare the players since they never had enough pre-season preparations.

"We have more training hours and a set of mid week friendly matches to keep the squad fit since we did not have adequate preseason. Hopefully all the players will catch up and show responsibility on the field," he added.

He further suggested that the false start to the season is attributed to limited time they had to assemble the team, and that most of his players are yet to gel.

"We had little time in bringing in players and finding that formidable chemistry is still a problem but once the squad bonds I expect them to start winning games," he explained.

Arasa believes he has good players that are able to produce positive results before the end of the first leg as well as compete for one of the available two automatic promotion slots at the end of the season.
