Mara Sugar are hovering perilously close to the relegation zone following the loss to Muhoroni Youth.
Naivas FC are enjoying their maiden season in the National Super League (NSL) so much so that they are on course for back-to-back promotions following the 3-0 thumping of Silibwet Leos while Zoo FC settled for a 1-1 stalemate against Mully’s Children Family (MCF).
The win leaves Naivas FC just seven points off joint log leaders Fortune Sacco and APs Bomet who have amassed 47 points thus far this season.
The Jeff Maina-led side had Peter Waweru, Hassan Sas, and John Walubuka to thank for the emphatic win over Silibwet who have now failed to win their last four games.
Muhoroni Youth who are also outsiders in the promotion race did themselves a favor with a 0-1 win over relegation and threatened Mara Sugar to compound the Millers’ misery.
Vincent Cliff’s goal settled the tie as Muhoroni Youth who suffered relegation from the Premier League back in the 2017 season moved to two points off Naivas FC who are in the Promotion/Relegation Playoff spot.
Zoo FC who are seeking an immediate bounce to the Premier League settled for a 1-1 draw against MCF with Sammy Ggolola netting for the Kericho-based side and Mohamed Coulibaly scoring for the latter.
Fallen giants Shabana picked up a hard-fought 3-2 win over Dandora Love with Vincent Nyabuto and Yusuf Mohamed’s brace sealing the win for the Kisii-based side.
