The Leonard Odipo-led team seized the opportunity and scored four goals against the hapless Kisii-based club.
Mathare United moved level on points with leaders Naivas FC after defeating Gusii FC 4-0 in a National Super League match played on Sunday afternoon at the Kasarani Annex Grounds.
Yesterday's 1-1 draw between Naivas FC and Darajani Gogo provided the Slum Boys with an opportunity to level on points with the leaders; however, the former FKF Premier League side still has an inferior goal difference.
The Leonard Odipo-led team seized the opportunity and scored four goals against the hapless Kisii-based club. Meshack Ochieno scored a brace in the game. The other goals were an own goal from a Gusii player and another from Pascal Ogweno.
United now has 45 points, the same as Naivas. Next, they will make a long trip to Ukunda to play SS Assad, a side known for being stubborn when playing at their home ground. The game will be staged in a fortnight.
