Naivas occupy the playoff spot on goal-difference.

Naivas FC moved back to third place in the National Super League (NSL) after defeating relegation-threatened Kajiado FC 3-1 in a match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday.

Nairobi United’s 3-2 win over Mombasa Elite on Friday had temporarily pushed Naivas out of the playoff spot, but the Collins Omondi-coahced outfit reclaimed third place with a comfortable victory, pushing Kajiado closer to relegation.

Derrick Anami, Brian Ouru, and Duncan Wasuda scored for Naivas, who now have 63 points, the same as Nairobi United, although Nairobi United have a game in hand.

In Kisii, relegation-battling Gusii FC derailed Mara Sugar's promotion hopes by holding them to a 2-2 draw. Joshua Ratemo and Kennedy Obaga scored for Gusii, while Mike Isabwa and Erick Juma scored for Mara Sugar.

In Kisumu, the hosts, Kisumu All-Stars, delivered a dominant performance to beat Mombasa Stars 3-0. Michael Karamor scored twice, and Japheth Onyango added another goal for the home team.

Elsewhere, Dimba Patriots and Darajani Gogo shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw.

The matches continue on Sunday.
