Luis de la Fuente's men almost certainly secured their spot in the USA, Canada, and Mexico with a crushing 4-0 victory over Georgia on the road
Not that anyone doubted it, but we'll almost certainly watch Spain in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Even though the reigning European Champions faced a tricky group with Turkey, Georgia, and Bulgaria, they nearly secured the top spot one round before the end of the qualifiers, thanks to a road win over Georgia - 4-0.

The only scenario in which Spain would end up second would be a loss to Turkey in the final round in three days by a seven-goal margin. Impossible, isn't it?
The triumph over Georgia was La Furia's fifth in as many qualifying matches, and it was sealed already at the break, when Luis de la Fuente's men had a 3-0 lead. Mikel Oyarzabal broke the deadlock 11 minutes into the game from the spot, following Giorgi Gocholeishvili's handball.
Eleven minutes later, Martin Zubimendi exploited Fabian Ruiz's fantastic through pass and doubled the advantage, while Ferran Torres scored one of the easiest goals in his career, passing the ball into the empty net, following Oyarzabal's assist.
After the break, Spain deliberately lowered the rhythm, getting the job done. Still, despite playing a relaxed game, they managed to net another goal, with which Oyarzabal confirmed his Man of the Match award.

La Furia's victory could have been even more convincing had it not been for Liverpool custodian Giorgi Mamardashvili and his stops in one-on-one duels against Oyarzabal and Borja Iglesias, while Georgia wasted their biggest chance shortly before the end, when Marcos Llorente's goal-line clearance deprived them of a consolation goal.
As mentioned, the Spaniards will almost certainly be Group E winners, while Turkey will be second, as Georgia and Bulgaria have no chance of jeopardizing their playoff spot.
