Tom Brady's comments on Wayne Rooney as a manager revealed

It’s been so popular in recent years to make a documentary about one football team and their important event (or a whole competitive season) and fans liked it. Clubs like Newcastle, Sunderland, Wrexham or Leeds all did at, but there were documentaries about certain players or coaches too (Beckham, Maradona, Sir Alex Ferguson). Clubs tend to do it for the additional money and Birmingham City is not an exception, especially if they are owned by Americans. The Championship team changed ownership and NFL legend and the best player of all time Tom Brady became one of the owners. It was all captured in another documentary, five-part Amazon Prime series 'Built in Birmingham: Brady and the Blues'.

Tom Brady was the quarterback of New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won seven titles, more than any other player in the history of this sport. With a wealth estimated at 530 million dollars he decided to invest a part of it into the Birmingham City football club and in the upcoming series, he felt unsure about his new manager – Wayne Rooney. The famous Manchester United star is as bad as coach as much as he was an excellent player but Brady and the others only found that out when they sacked him, after he took only 10 points from a possible 45, losing nine and winning just two. It was their biggest mistake to date, as the club was in a playoff spot battle and still they sacked the beloved John Eustace as boss, and appointed Rooney. The meltdown soon followed, but it was Brady who, as a former elite athlete, quickly started to doubt his new manager’s credentials.

One of the scenes from the documentary shows Brady visiting the Birmingham training ground to observe Rooney's team meeting and training session. While driving away, he tells his business manager Ben Rawitz: 'I'm a little worried about our head coach's work ethic', to which he replies 'Comes across as lackadaisical.' Later, he addmited he made a mistake.

I had good advice, "Don’t go in there and make sweeping changes. You guys have time". But we made sweeping changes that put us in decline. That was our doing' said Brady. But, he eventually sacked Rooney who got another gig, signing for Championship team Plymouth Argyle. But just like in Birmingham, he was sacked after five wins in 25 matches and just like with the Blues, he got them relegated in the end.
