The Serb got his managerial reign at the Law Enforcers underway with a 1-0 win over Sofapaka on Wednesday
New Kenya Police FC head coach Dusan Stojanovic says his team’s upcoming clash against record FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia will just be like any other fixture, even as he seeks to instil his identity.

Stojanovic, 44, was appointed as Police coach on Sunday, 2 November, replacing outgoing head coach Etienne Ndayiragije, who was sacked days after the club failed to seal their spot in this season's CAF Champions League.
The Serb did not have much time to get his feet under the desk, as he got a taste of Kenyan football on Wednesday, 5 November, leading his side for the first time as they beat Sofapaka 1-0 at Police Sacco Grounds.
Reacting to the win, which was ensured by former Sofapaka forward Edward Omondi, Stovanovic told Pulse Sports, “It is always nice to win your first match.
I am a demanding coach - a boring winner, as I like to say. For me, it is not just about the result, but the performance, and the boys gave everything, and this win belongs to them.”
Having started brightly and with a wealth of possession, Stojanovic leaned on the side of caution as he employed a pragmatic approach in the second half to ice the game.
His in-game adjustments will be put into sharper focus on Sunday, 9 November, when he leads his charges against Gor Mahia, who, apart from last weekend’s draw with Ulinzi Stars, were enjoying the best winning run in the league.

Asked about the prospects of coming up against Charles Akonnor’s side, Stojanovic said: “In every league in the world, one game means three points, and that is how we see it.”
Already cognizant of the attention the match will gather from the fans, he added, “I know it means a lot to the fans, but from a professional point of view, it is still about three points. We will prepare and fight for them like we do in every match.”
Police will go into the 1600 EAT kickoff at Nyayo Stadium with their tails up, as they remain one of two unbeaten sides in the league so far this season, and last lost to K’Ogalo over two years ago.
Stojanovic admittedly sees the Kenyan weather as friendly, but he will get his real test just before the international break.
