Newly-promoted side to the Football Kenya Federation Division One Zone B outfit Nakuru Bucks have confirmed departure of five players from their ranks.
Bucks gained promotion to the third a month ago after impressing in FKF Division 2 mini league promotion playoff held in Kisumu.
Under the tutelage of Peter Wekesa, the Nakuru stationed team drubbed Ichuni Combined six goals to nil to grab a spot in the third tier.
However, in a bid to form a competitive team for the upcoming campaign, the FKF Division 2 Central Zone A champions have parted ways with five of their last season's arsenals.
As per impeccable sources at the club, players whose contracts with the club were coming to an end were deemed surplus to requirement as well as those that had limited playing time in the concluded season.
Nakuru bred goal poacher Kevin Asirikwa leads the exodus with the striker crossing over to St. Joseph's Youth where the youthful attacker desires to guide the veteran Nakuru club to National Super League.
Others leaving the Bucks Hotel-powered team are Dan Kipsang who has since moved to Kivumbini United, central midfielder Deng Chol, Meshack Olal and Clinton Jumba.
Bucks have since roped in top talents from across the region to further bolster their squad.
Central defender Geoffrey Otieno has sealed a deal with the league newbies joining from Manyatta United.
Striker Buji Birunda has also inked a one year deal coming in from Super Naks FC.
Bucks start their maiden Football Kenya Federation Division One campaign with an away trip to the tricky Karai Primary School grounds where they will face Sunderland Keroche.
