The Kawangware based club has been struggling to register positive results consistently

Nairobi City Stars have resolved to put an end to the club's poor run and avoid last season's scenario, where the team narrowly escaped relegation.

City Stars stretched their recent winless run to four matches after suffering a 2-1 defeat to league debutants Murang'a Seal at St. Sebastian Park on Wednesday.

The loss was their fourth in the campaign, which took off in rather slow motion after failing to register maximum points in the opening three rounds.

The defeat to Seal served as a wake-up call to the team, as impeccable reports indicate that the playing unit held a lengthy meeting after the game to deliberate on the best way to redeem themselves.

Goals from Dennis Maruti and Titus Kapchanga handed Seal maximum points at the expense of the City Stars, who got their consolation through Robinson Asenwa.

City Stars finished the game down with ten men after Kelvin Etemesi was sent off for retaliation.

Last season, the club survived the wrath of the axe by a whisker after finishing just a place outside the red zone.

"It is true that we convened a meeting after the game and agreed to do the best we could to win our next matches. Everyone on the team admitted that the poor run was hurting the brand of the club and individual players. You will witness a different City Stars going forward," revealed defensive midfielder Clifford Ouma.

Ouma, who started the clash against Seal, challenged his teammates to strive and implement the other resolutions of the meeting.

"We talked at length and came up with a number of resolutions. I can only ask the team to work towards achieving them," added the former Migori Youth midfielder.
