Mudryk's ex-director slams Chelsea: you don't know how to drive a Ferrari

Shakhtar Donetsk director Sergiy Palkin has no doubt who is to blame for the Ukrainian's pale performance at Stamford Bridge

Mykhailo Mudryk's inconsistent form has ruled him out of the Chelsea's starting XI. Moreover, the Blues' manager Enzo Maresca criticized him recently, making it very clear what Mudryk needs to do in order to become a regular at Stamford Bridge.

In the meantime, he has played only 81 minutes over four Premier League games this season, as it's becoming more and more obvious that he doesn't feature in Maresca's plans.

The Champions League game between another London side, Arsenal, and Mudryk's former club, Shakhtar Donetsk, was the opportunity for the English press to ask their director Sergiy Palkin about where lies the blame for the player's struggle in the new surrounding.

And Palkin was as straightforward as it gets on this one. He said:

"You don't need a Ferrari if you don't know how to drive it. A normal car will do," he told SPOX. "If you buy a Ferrari, you should learn how to drive it. That's my opinion of Mudryk at Chelsea.

"I'm sure he'll show his qualities if he gets the chance. He is a real difference-maker, and you can see that in his appearances for the Ukrainian national team. There are very few players in that category," concluded Palkin.
