Sofapaka FC forward Dairus Msagha has expressed his joy following Sofapaka's 1-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz.
Msagha scored the lone goal in the 85th minute to secure victory for the 2009 champions against Kakamega Homeboyz.
The win was Sofapaka's sixth win of the ongoing FKF Premier League 23/24 campaign.
Friday's victory saw seasoned tactician Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno record his second win in his three matches in charge.
Msagha's goal on Friday was his fifth of the campaign, following his earlier goals against Gor Mahia, Nzoia, Kariobangi Sharks, and Bidco United.
The slim 1-0 win on Friday ensured Batoto Ba Mungu moved out of the red zone and are currently placed 14th on the standings with 20 points.
Msagha believes the victory is a confidence booster heading into future assignments, saying they really needed to win in order to be out of the relegation zone.
"I am really delighted to help the team secure maximum points on Friday. We needed the three points in order to move out of the relegation zone to a safety position. I am happy we managed to get the full points and hope we can build on the win in the next matches," stated the speedy attacker.
Besides finding the back of the net five times, Msagha has four assists to his name.
The former Bandari forward says he is hopeful of realizing his 15 goal contribution targets at the end of the season.
"I had set a target for myself to at least score fifteen and consequently assist in ten goal-scoring opportunities. I am glad I am on course, and I only want to double my efforts in ensuring I achieve my set targets for the season," added Msagha.
The skilled offensive player says he believes in coach Zico's experience to steer the club to safety at the end of the season.
"We are so privileged to have an experienced tactician guide us through the remainder of the campaign. I am so confident we will survive the chop and secure a better finish when the season culminates," he concluded.
