Match of the Season
There were several memorable matches throughout the campaign, but none matched the drama and excitement of AFC Leopards’ 2-1 victory over APS Bomet at Nyayo Stadium in January.
For much of the contest, the two sides were evenly matched in a fiercely competitive encounter.
APS Bomet looked set to claim all three points when Philip Wasai fired them ahead in the 84th minute, leaving Leopards staring at defeat.
What followed was one of the most dramatic finishes of the season.
Deep into stoppage time, Christopher Koloti restored parity before Ronald Sichenje completed an incredible comeback moments later, sending the Ingwe faithful into wild celebrations.
The intensity, quality, late twists and sheer unpredictability of the contest made it a captivating spectacle from start to finish.
For the drama it produced and the emotions it evoked, AFC Leopards versus APS Bomet stands out as my Match of the Season.

The season served up some cracking encounters but what stood out for me was the match between Gor Mahia and APS Bomet at Nyayo Stadium.
Gor Mahia had come off a morale boosting 1-0 win over Tusker.
With one eye on the weekend derby coach Charles Akonnor rang the changes.
Bomet arrived off a loss to struggling Ulinzi and what followed was a result for the ages.
Bomet set up a counter attacking masterclass with Hansel Ochieng putting Gor to the sword with a brace.
The underdog story will always appeal to all and this specific match showed how competitive and unpredictable the FKFPL can be.

Mashemeji Derby Part 2
Mine has got to be second-leg of the Mashemeji Derby between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium in late April.
You'll probably have to dig in through history to find the last time both teams got into a hugely decisive league derby so late in the season, to match the stakes that were up in this one.
Thanks to their strong seasons, only three points separated the top two sides, with a win for either going a long way to seizing a league title that meant so much to their fanbase.
Atmosphere-wise, all boxes were unsurprisingly checked, setting the stage for a memorable, tense game, that hung on the balance till late.
Having lost in the first-leg meeting, Gor Mahia would serve up a cold revenge by scoring late, through Alpha Onyango, to literally paint the stadium green, and offer one of the best tifos Kenyan football had seen.
That thumping finish from the team skipper would have a big say on Gor Mahia recapturing a record-extending league championship.

APS Bomet's emphatic 4-1 victory over Gor Mahia stands out as my match of the season, largely because of the magnitude of the upset and the manner in which it unfolded at Nyayo National Stadium.
Gor Mahia appeared to be in control after George Amonno fired them into the lead in the fifth minute, but what followed was one of the most memorable individual displays of the campaign.
Hansel Ochieng' inspired a remarkable turnaround, netting a hat-trick and setting up the fourth goal in a performance that completely changed the complexion of the contest.
Rather than panic after conceding early, APS Bomet remained disciplined and faithful to their approach.
Their swift transitions, direct attacking play and well-executed balls in behind repeatedly exposed Gor Mahia's backline and turned the game on its head.
The result reverberated across the FKF Premier League, with few having predicted such a convincing scoreline.
It also intensified scrutiny on Gor Mahia ahead of their eagerly awaited Mashemeji Derby against AFC Leopards, a match they would go on to lose.

Gor Mahia 3 Murang'a Seal 2
When picking my goal of the season, I honestly entertained the idea of settling for Francis Siololo's strike against Gor Mahia in the second leg.
That was some proper classic goal by the former Kariobangi Sharks forward. The goal could not have come in a better fixture than the one played on 14 January at Kasarani Stadium.
Seal thought they had won it, and ended their wait for their first triumph over Gor, after taking a 2-0 lead in the first half.
However, Gor Mahia were far from giving up as they fought tooth and nail to secure all three points courtesy of Paul Ochuoga's late minute goal.
The fight, the emotions, the intensity on the pitch, the outpouring of love on the stands, the goals, the controversy around the two goals Gor scored and everything that transpired on the pitch left me yearning for more matches of such kind.
