News of the Spaniard's move to Madrid emerged yesterday, and another transfer along the same route could soon follow
Real Madrid have completed the signing of Marc Cucurella just hours before Spain begin their World Cup campaign, and attention is already turning to whether another former Chelsea star could be next through the door.
According to reports from Spain, negotiations between Madrid and Chelsea accelerated quickly in recent days, resulting in Cucurella's arrival. That development has sparked speculation that Enzo Fernandez could soon become the next target.
🚨Enzo Fernández has reportedly given the green light for a potential move to Real Madrid and is said to be open to leaving Chelsea, with the London club valuing him at around £120 million.

The biggest obstacle remains the financial package required to secure the Argentine midfielder. Chelsea are believed to value Fernandez at around £120 million, meaning any deal would require a major commitment from the Spanish giants.
At this stage, it is uncertain whether Chelsea would be prepared to lower their demands or if Madrid are willing to match the asking price for the World Cup participant.
Still, there are indications that the club has significant funds available. President Florentino Perez, recently re-elected, recently suggested Madrid were prepared to invest as much as 150 million euros (£129.6m) on a marquee signing after seeing a bid of that size rejected by Atletico Madrid for Julian Alvarez. Those resources could now potentially be redirected toward Fernandez.
Sources close to the situation claim the midfielder is eager to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu. While both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have been mentioned as possible destinations in recent months, neither club is currently pursuing a deal.
As things stand, Madrid appear to be Fernandez's preferred option. However, Chelsea would not be under pressure to sell. New manager Xabi Alonso views the midfielder as an important member of the squad, particularly after a season in which he produced 15 goals and seven assists. His long-term contract, which runs until 2032, further strengthens Chelsea's position.
Fernandez is not the only name linked with Madrid's summer overhaul. The club are also expected to bring in Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate, Inter full-back Denzel Dumfries and Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva.
The recruitment drive is part of a broader rebuilding project led by returning manager Jose Mourinho. Madrid are looking to bounce back after finishing behind Barcelona in La Liga and suffering a Champions League quarter-final exit last season.
