The three Kenyan players were in action on Saturday afternoon.
Harambee Stars defender Brian Mandela Onyango, creative midfielder Lawrence Juma and goalkeeper Fredrick Odhiambo endured contrasting fortunes on Saturday afternoon when their teams took part in their respective league matches in South Africa and Rwanda.
While Onyango basked in victory with his Mamelodi Sundowns side, Juma and Odhiambo, who both ply their trade at AS Kigali, were left frustrated as their team succumbed to defeat. Here is how the games played out.
Brian Onyango
The composed defender was an unused substitute as his Sundowns side continued with their impressive run in the Premier Soccer League where they recorded an important 0-1 away win against Orlando Pirates.
Staged at the Orlando Stadium, a sixth minute strike from 21 year old midfielder Cassius Mailula, who was set up by Themba Zwane, was all that the Brazilians needed as they claimed a record extending 15th successive win in the league.
A fierce contest in Orlando comes to a close and the points are coming home with The Brazilians!!! 👆👆👆

The result means Sundowns have opened a 24 point lead at the top of the table over nearest chasers Richards Bay, who have played two games fewer.
On the other hand, the Soweto giants, who have also played two games fewer, remain in fourth place, 27 points adrift of the leaders following the loss.
Juma and Odhiambo
The two former Gor Mahia players were unfortunate to see a one goal advantage slip right through their hands as Police came from behind to stage a 1-2 win at the Bugesera Stadium.
Having both been named in the starting eleven, it is their Kigali side that managed to take the lead on the 39th minute when Shaban Tshabalala managed to find the back of the net to give his side the advantage at the break.
Just fifteen minutes into the second half however, that advantage was chalked off when Rachid Kalisa scored an own goal to restore parity in the game.
That proved to be motivation for Police who had been given a lifeline as Dany Usengimana poked home the winning goal on the 85th minute to steal all three points from the hosts.
The defeat sees Kigali stay in third place on 33 points and lose the opportunity to close the gap on current leaders APR who are on 37.
Police on the other hand jumped upto seventh on the log on 27 points.
