Miraculous Sommer does wonders to prevent Bayern from winning at home

Swiss keeper is Borussia Moenchengladbach hero. He did concede one but had terrific 19 saves

The SofaScore platform has nothing in its database that comes close to what the Borussia goalkeeper did, and OptaFranz claims that this is a new Bundesliga record!

Yann Sommer pulled off as many as 19 saves, of which 11 came after the shots inside the penalty area.

Only 15 seconds into the game, Sadio Mane tested his skills. Less than a minute later, Sommer stopped Dayot Upamecano's shot. Bayern's agony continued as the Swiss shot-stopper tormented their veteran Thomas Muller on several occasions; Mane, Sane, Pavard, and even De Ligt in the end. Sommer was like an octopus!

Eventually, he did concede once, as Sane scored seven minutes before the final whistle, which didn't affect those analyst platforms to reward Sommer with a deserved 10, the highest mark possible.
