Muhoroni Youth were also given a five match home ban and a Ksh. 300,000 fine for similar incidents
National Super League side Migori Youth were the second club on Wednesday, October 11, to be slapped with sanctions following crowd-related incidents reported over the past weekend.
Following a review of an incident that occurred on Saturday, October 8, at the Migori Stadium, where Darajani Gogo members of staff and the media team were assaulted and their equipment damaged by alleged home fans, the FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee has moved to impose the home side (Migori Youth) with a five-match home ban while also obliging them to pay a fine amounting to Ksh. 200,000.
In addition, the club has been directed to pay their day’s opponents damaged iPhone 14 and media equipment and reimburse the medical expenses incurred within fourteen days.
The league review was the second one concluded on Wednesday, after FKF Premier League club Muhoroni Youth were also suspended from playing their next five matches at home following another crowd-related incident that stopped the match between them and KCB FC.
Muhoroni Youth were given a Ksh. 300,000 fine, with KCB, who were leading 1-0 when a member of the home side bench attacked the opposing head coach, awarded a win (3 points and a 2-goal advantage).
The ramifications of the Migori Youth game were, however, unaffected, as the Leagues and Competitions Committee stood by the full-time result of Migori Youth 1-0 Darajani Gogo FC.

Clinton Okoth's header deep into the first half did the trick for the border club, easing pressure on newly appointed gaffer Peter Okidi.
Migori Youth are 12th on the NSL table with five points, while Darajani Gogo are nineteenth with just one point.
