
FKF slaps Muhoroni with sanctions over violence witnessed during the abadoned KCB match

Football Kenya Federation leagues and competitions committee has come down heavily on Muhoroni Youth following the incidents of violence witnessed in their home match against KCB on Monday at Muhoroni Stadium.
Muhoroni, have lost the game 2-0, ordered to play their next five home games away from the dreaded Muhoroni grounds and behind closed doors as well as slapped with a Ksh 300,000 fine.
Furthermore, the club's chairman Moses Adagala has been banned from attending the team's next three games for failing to control the crowd.
Scuffle ensured in the 90th minute following a disagreement on the touchline after Muhoroni had been awarded a free kick with the bankers on the control seat.
A section of Muhoroni Youth fans stormed the pitch, baying for KCB’s technical bench members, whom police officers manning the game had to protect. Pictures online show a handful of supporters charging towards the Bernard Mwalala-led technical bench with the intention of attacking them. The motive remains unknown.
The prevailing events saw the match officials opt to dissipate the game awaiting verdict from the federation, that has now come down with heavy penalties for the Got Alila club and their boss.
"The FKF Leagues and Competitions Committee, having reviewed the submissions from Muhoroni Youth FC and KCB FC, along with the reports provided by the match officials, has made the following decisions regarding FKF Premier League Match No 53 (Muhoroni Youth vs KCB FC)," began a statement from FKF.
"Muhoroni Youth vs KCB FC
• The match is awarded to KCB FC, granting them 3 points and a 2-goal advantage.
• Muhoroni Stadium is suspended from hosting the next five (5) Muhoroni Youth FC home matches, which shall be played behind closed doors.
• Mr. Moses Adagala, Chairperson of Muhoroni Youth FC, is banned from attending the next three (3) Muhoroni Youth matches.
• Muhoroni Youth FC is required to pay a fine of KES 300,000." concluded the statement from the country football body.
