The 2008 FKF Premier League champions completed the signing of Oduor, making him their first acquisition in the mid-season transfer window.
Oduor, who had been training with the team, has been without a club since parting ways with KCB FC at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Speaking to the club’s media, Kamau revealed what endeared the Slum Boys to the former Sofapaka man.
“We have struggled with scoring this season, and this was a major reason why we have looked into the market to find solutions,” said Kamau.
“Oduor is an experienced player who gives us a big presence in our forward line and alleviates some of the scoring burden.
Finding one player who can score goals isn’t easy, so we are looking to spread the scoring duties, and we might add one or two players,” added the tactician.

Mathare are the joint second-lowest scorers in the league alongside Kariobangi Sharks, having found the back of the net just nine times, two more than Bidco United, who have the most blunt forward line.
On his part, the former Wazito FC player expressed his joy at returning to competitive football and is well aware of what is expected of him by the club.
“I am delighted to be part of this club and to be back playing after spending the last few months inactive. I want to thank the coach for believing in me, and I want to repay his faith by being productive with goals and assists,” he remarked.
The Slum Boys are currently 12th on the log standings with 18 points and will be hoping that Oduor hits the road running to help them secure a win when they face Murang'a Seal in their next match, slated for Saturday, 10 January, at the Police Sacco Stadium in South C.
