Old Trafford club is on the prowl for a groundbreaking transfer window

A while ago it started with the announcement that Paul Pogba is done with Man United; then it all went through rumors that ex-Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will bring him to Santiago Bernabeu; followed by stories that he will return to Juventus. Now, we are at a point where a new contract is being prepared for the 28-year-old at Old Trafford.

During the ongoing European Championship, English giants plan to prepare an offer for the midfielder which he will unlikely to refuse.

As today's Sun and other UK media report - under the new contract, Pogba would become the highest paid player in the history of the Premier League with an income of 400,000 GBP a week, or 465,000 EUR, or 555,000 USD, or 60 million KSH.

Weekly, the Frenchman currently earns the same as Rahim Sterling (44.7 million KSH) and the only ones earning more are Kevin de Bruyne (57.3 million KSH) and David De Gea (33.9 million KSH). The new contract would place Pogba at the very top of the list of the highest paid players in the world.

Monthly: 238.5 million KSH

Annually: 2.8 billion KSH

Only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Antoine Griezmann, Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappe would earn more than Pogba.

Keep in mind that Manchester United plans to offer him a five-year deal - the total amount for the given period would sum up to 14.3 billion KSH.

At the same time, the negotiations with Borussia Dortmund regarding Jadon Sancho are still ongoing. The price is apparently 106.8 million USD (11.5 billion KSH) plus add-ons and the deadline is said to be July 23rd, when Dortmund return to pre-season training.

That is a massive discount on the almost 140 million USD price tag of last summer so it should be easy to match. But this is Manchester United so they will probably drag things out until July 21st.

Alongside Sancho another saga that Red Devils are involved in is trying to bring Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

The defender rejected Los Blancos' offer of a two-year extension to his contract, which has 12 months remaining, and is set on leaving the LaLiga giants after a decade spent in Spain.

Varane, who is with Pogba currently competing at Euro 2020 with France, is reportedly unhappy that Real chose to negotiate with Luka Modric, Lucas Vazquez and Sergio Ramos ahead of him.
