Maina raring to go securing promotion to Kariobangi Sharks senior team

He joined the Sharks fraternity in 2018, signing for the Sharks U13 team
After securing an elevation to the Kariobangi Sharks senior team, midfielder Sigmunn Maina has promised to repay the faith by delivering goals and assists in the new season.
Maina was promoted to the senior team after impressing in the U20 team and in the top flight and Mozzart Bet Cup appearances he made last season.
The18-year old, scored two league goals and was on target when Sharks eliminated Marula from the Cup in a round of 32 game that ended 6-0 in favour of the top-flight side.
His first league goal came against the relegated Vihiga Bullets and registered his second in their clash with Sofapaka at the Kasarani Annex.
Maina, said getting at least eight goals in his first full season in the top flight and having more than six assists written against his name will be his irreducible minimums in the new season.
“I am happy to have been elevated to the senior team. I have been working for it and I am happy my efforts have finally paid off,” he said.
Maina joined the Sharks fraternity in 2018, signing for the Sharks U13 team.
He was promoted to the U15 team the following year after showing tremendous growth in his first year in the Sharks set up.
Maina, secured promotion to the U20 team in December 2020 and hardly two years in the junior side, his efforts have brought him forth more success as he will run shoulders with the best next season.
“I am proud of what I have achieved since I joined the Sharks family. I cant wait for my first full top flight season with the senior team,” added the left-footed midfielder.
