The league's 2017 Most Valuable Player of the Year has eyes set on only one other accolade - the title
With Tusker FC seemingly well poised at the top of the 2020/2021 Football Kenya Federation Premier League, one of their midfielders in Mike Madoya has expressed his ambitious desire to bag a league title under his name.
Madoya, who joined the Brewers at the end of the 2018 season as the 2017 Most Valuable Player after fine performances at Kericho based Zoo FC, reiterated that his ultimate desire is to clinch a title to add to his personal feat.
“I have won individual trophies during my time at Zoo and now what remains is winning the league title. This is what I am working on now and dreaming of currently at Tusker. I believe if we win something as a team, I will have achieved a great feat and added a trophy to my cabinet,” the player is quoted on the club’s website.

Despite being already crowned the league’s very best three seasons ago, the midfielder went on to state that he still has room for improvement now that he is at Tusker – a club that he stated comes with bigger expectations.
“Being at Tusker has been very different because here things are run professionally and it is a big team so definitely the expectations are big. Also, the financial aspect of the club and the general culture are different, so it has been a huge learning process for me. I have grown a lot since arriving at Tusker and I continue to learn every day. I believe being here will make me a better player,” the player said.
Currently, Tusker have a six-point advantage at the top of the standings and should the league resume according to the tentative date set, the Robert Matano-led side have a chance to dim KCB who are placed second on the log.
