Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said the decision was "harsh" and the Reds appealed. Finally, the Football Association's Independent Regulatory Commission removed the suspension.
"An independent regulatory commission has removed Alexis Mac Allister's three-match suspension following a claim of wrongful dismissal," the FA said.
Legendary Gary Lineker had described the sending-off decision as "nonsense" on social media.
